OBSERVATIONS.
Due to prolonged dilution of the gearbox oil, there was complete system failure.
There is a lot of rust in the system.
Both the Oil pump and the Trailing pump failed and there was zero system lubrication.
The friction plates are worn out.
The control valves are stuck in position
The pressure manometer is not functional.
REPAIR ACTIONS/TESTING.
The required OEM replacement overhaul spares were provided by the vessel owner.
All re-usable parts were intensively cleaned and inspected.
